"No shopping, no presents, no apologies" is their slogan -- because purchasing consumer products inherently impacts the environment, and the Christmastime holidays are too often used as a way of guilting people or competing to impress someone. If you really want to show your family you care, there are 364 other days in the year to chose from.

Bottom line: my family already knows I do not expect any gifts at Christmas, nor do I give any. I will happily spend time visiting them, however.
