My Crazy Idea

First I would like to set the record straight, I was under the influence when this thought came to mind. However, I personally think this would work. I would LOVE to get an experts opinion on this but I dont know any. so I would love to know yours.

This world needs a natural source of energy that is inexpencive and abundent. I prepose steam power. Not the type that is made with the sun. that cost more than it creates. I was thinking LAVA! LAVA+SeaWater= Natural Steam. And not just steam, but a purifiable source of water. All you'd really need to do is get the lava and sea water into a controlled space, trap the steam, use it to spin a turbine that will convert it into mechanical energy then convert that in to electricity. Most steam power plants use geothermal hot water that gets between 300 and 700 degrees F. only a few of them can create flash steam ( instant steam ) which I gather is the most productive type. Lava can reach 1300 degrees F and will always create flash steam and in an abundance.

One problem would be the rocks created, but that is easily taken care of. we would just need to extract them and put them back.

well there is my crazy idea. what do you think? I'm sure I'm missing something

Just keep in mind one thing: EVERY idea started out as a half-baked idea. If someone tells you it's a half-baked idea, just smile and bake it some more.
