the total vacuum of postings on this forum, is quite surprising to me.

may be it is the reflection of the pervasive american apathy, which has allowed our country to fall in the hands of dangerous criminals?

the chains that bound us to war, oppression, mass murder, racism, destruction, obscurantism etc can only be broken with fierce, multiple and carefully aimed action.

the path from single to multiple, and toward action, could go through forums such as this one, so generously put at our disposition.

Hi,

I agree wholeheartedly with what you say about action. It makes me despair the amount of fear people have around protesting against injustice.
Here in the UK, a group of about 30 odd (odd being the operative word) of locals, opposed the invasion of Iraq. 5 of us lay down blocking an Esso petrol station. The police were loathe to arrest us. We had to be carried off and return to lie down again in the road before they would arrest us. Four of us chose to be arrested. It rocked the local community. If the other 30 had sat down it would have made national news..if all over the country people had sat down it would have caused a real unprecedented problem for the authorities. If, on the day of the big world march, the million to 2 million people had sat down and disrupted London town WOW!! would Blair have continued on his path to war?
People spoke about the fact they had families..had jobs..but no one was suggesting they got arrested..simply to sit down!

Well done for being the voice in the silence!

Im new, and yes upcome comming into the forum, see there is not alot going on. I applaud Owl for the stand you guys made against the oil machine. I wish to think this war is not about us oil interests, but think im just playcating myself. As a us citizen, i love some of our country, but not all aspects. Yes, the apathy of alot of citizens, the apathy and outright war interest our government hides behind the auspis of global terroism. I vote, and mostly i vote for my local polititians, i try not to vote incumbants in. But i do vote my concious. Mainly Libertarian, LESS GOVERNMENT!

Peace all! I send everyone positive and light!

The people on this site have got to be some of the smartest on our planet. Smart because they are part of the minority of people trying to make a change on and for this planet. A change that will affect ALL of it's inhabitants.

I for one would like to hear what they've got to say!

Well, I say the first thing we need to do is gain control of food production on the local, and individual level. If you have a little open land available, use it! It is very inexpensive to grow, and can your own food. The canning jars are you only real cost, but they will last as long as dont break them. After you initial investment in seed, you can start saving the seeds from the plants you grow. Free Seeds!

`I was excited to find this website. A singles site focused on what my life is focused on!

In the whole 2 days I have been here & am sadden to see the lack of action in the forums as well as the chat.

Maybe it's because so many of us do so much everyday we are just tired & don't get on often??? I'd like to see more ppl here!

Blessings,
Cheyene

I have had this ever since I joined Passions Network. This just isn't a very active site most of the time: I go to the chat, and I find maybe a dozen people in the "lobby," two or three in Nudist Passions (if I'm lucky), and none in any of my other groups' rooms.

I think the problem may be that, in most social media, the majority of members are seldom active; so we need to reach that critical mass of active members. Since we are competing with Facebook, Google+, and who knows what other social media, and are more narrowly focused as a dating site, we will have a harder time getting that mass of active users.

The problem is, it feeds on itself. I can check Facebook every day, and find plenty of action, so I keep checking it. But if I try checking here every day, and see nothing happen in over a week, that discourages me from taking the time, and i will become less active myself.

Live was I ere I saw evil.
