I have become a practitioner of simplicity, trying to demand little from the earth and leave a small footprint. I have been an organic gardener (eat organically when there's an option) for a number of years although I don't have space for one this year. I feel there is a responsibility for us all to become the human beings that tomorrow requires if there is to be a tomorrow for human beings. It is a process like spiritual growth and I'm still moving forward with both (they seem to go hand in hand). I am a combat veteran and do volunteer work with Veterans for Peace, work with a local group moving toward a local economic, food, energy community. Love to garden, play music and sing, dabble in the arts, travel, read, photography etc. I've been retired since June of 2005. I'm hoping to find a peaceful lady to become close with, and hopefully build an alternative home, organic garden, etc learning to be as self sufficient as is reasonable. I am very well read, sensitive, protective but not controlling, and retain most of the considerations of a southern gentleman.
