Recently Indoctrinated In school, I took a media class which dealt with environmental issues and sustainability. I'm kind of into permaculture though I love electricity, the internet and powerful software... so mostly I look for ways to cut down on my god-awful American consumerism in favor of a better world in countries we choose to turn a blind eye towards.

I've never been much of an activist, but Obama's cross-country monorail idea is the one I sincerely hope he actually accomplishes in his 4 - 8. I'd be willing to jump on the activist bandwagon for that.
