Seeking the Original Green Soulmate I have an unflinching commitment to honesty and integrity. I try to lead an ethical life, and am deeply devoted to my family, friends, community and planet. I am youthful, spontaneous, energetic and fun. My active side calls me to natural history field trips by foot, bike boat and cross-country ski. My service side calls me to give back deeply to the world that has nurtured me--physically through tree-planting and invasive species pulls, professionally through policy advocacy. My quiet side calls me to meditation, reflection, and spiritual explorations in many forms.

My current passions are directed to help the community rediscover that wonderful interdependence we had in our traditional mixed-use neighborhoods before the era of the automobile. Finding positive solutions to �the inconvenient truth� is a driving force for me. I believe that the traditional mixed-use neighborhoods favored by members of the New Urbanism and Smart Growth movements are a convenient, low-carbon alternative to both climate change and peak oil. I favor the Original Green over the Gizmo Green�but I think both are important.

And it's important to me to live according to my value system so I live downtown where I can walk or bike to most of my activities. I take transit and carpool to get to the mountains�an important source for spiritual renewal for me.

My ideal life partner:
1. Has personal qualities like kindness, compassion, self-knowledge, integrity, strength-of-character
2. Uses nature/natural history as their foundation�has a passion to enjoy and preserve the environment as well so they are active outdoors
3. Is far enough along on the above that stay well informed enough to show leadership on at least one sustainability issue of the day
4. Is far enough along on their personal development to be supportive of a life partner who is also a leader
