Having a sense of humor is essential for survival...life goes on in green passion with or without us. Seriously tho, I am a green party member, own a beautiful farm in cape breton waiting to be cared for, an equally green garden/pond spot near the ocean in Maine, and am seeking someone to enjoy life with in these places as well as other beloved places.
I am a retired widowed gentleman with time on my hands when the gardens are taken care of or the paths cleared.
I seek someone who is passionate about good healthy food, about having a good healthy lifestyle that includes sharing life together. Being alone is finally comfortable for me in many ways but i remain lonely for that special person who would bring love into my life. I do love my sons who are both on their own yet close to me in spirit, I love my friends and am not unwilling to just have healthy friendships with those I meet.
My hobbies are many as I try and stay busy most of the time. I work with oil paints at some level most of the time, I work with metal and hope to expand my skills with time, as mentioned earlier, gardening has always been a part of my summers since both my parents were raised as farmers and we always had good gardens as I grew up. I love to read and chill out in the sun, planning to stay in the warmth of the sun during future winters if at all possible.
My career includes many skills from educator to janitor, from commodities and atock broker to mediator, from father and husband to spiritualistic hermit. I am a student of religion and a deep spiritualist, finding god in many places - raised a christian but now involved with many other forms of worship, including buddhism, taoism, sufism. I enjoy writing poetry for my self and those i love as well as reading my friend's ideas and thoughts.
While I have had a few important relationships since my wife of 25 years passed away from cancer, I have been alone for awhile in terms of an intimate mate and am looking for change.
