My friends say that I am kind, "too nice", always on the go and ready for adventures, open-minded and easy to talk to, and naively optimistic. I guess you need to be that positive when you're an environmentalist trying to make a difference.
My favourite experiences over the last five years have been: working at a biological station in the rainforest (I got to see unique sea turtles and birds), living in small coastal communities in Ecuador (they taught me to cook a mean coconut fish!), and finishing grad school out east. I also climbed Cotopaxi volcano this summer (5897m) then nearly rolled down the mountain I was so tired!
I love travelling and living abroad, salsa dancing, and my South American dog. I'm super keen about meeting people and learning about new cultures. I think sharing food and conversation are the best way to build trust and relationships between people and a great way to foster a sense of community.
I'm also a book worm and recently finished a book (The boy who harnessed the wind) about a boy from Malawi (Southeast Africa) who built a windmill with parts from a junkyard after having read a book about electricity. Very inspiring. Malawi is on my "go to" list for 2011.
I am a life-long athlete who loves to play soccer, hockey, hike, ski, and do just about anything active. Especially if it also involves silliness (skiing in 80's costumes? You can never go wrong with costumes)

I'm looking for someone who is funny, smart, active, honest and wants to make a (positive) difference in the world. Passion is contagious- I love learning about what drives and inspires you.
Drop me a line if you want to go exploring!
