Caring for the planet, not harming it. I'm a male who loves the outdoors, Nature and most things related. I'm looking for friends and hopefully a long-term romantic partner to share that with. I have very strong environmentalist (and related) values, and I'm looking for people who share this. I want to downsize and ideally get off grid and live sustainably with the right woman.
I'm the quiet type who does much better in wild places than in cities, and one-to-one conversation to a night in the pub. I have a full set of wild camping gear, and know how to use it.

Politically, I'm off to the left of most people so, if you are a Tory, please don't bother. We'll do well if you think humans can and should be doing better than this.

The common superficial things like height and so on that put many people off are not relevant to me. If we share a love of Nature and the outdoors, and you think we'd be emotionally compatible, even as friends, then I want to hear from you. I'm also very interested in permaculture.

Honesty is very important to me, and I believe in being clear and up front at all times. I don't like people who just agree for the sake of it, and I don't like mind games. I'm gentle and caring.

I'm not too confident around humans, but I do tend to do better in other cultures, where difference is expected. I enjoy writing, and social justice and the environment are very important to me. I also read a lot. You should definitely be intelligent and able to hold a conversation.

With a bit of luck I'd like to find the right woman to settle down, plant a forest garden and become self-sufficient, but don't be put off if this isn't you (but if it is, I really want to hear from you!).

I'd be keen to exchange a few messages before moving on to a coffee shop (I know most of the good ones in Edinburgh), and take things from there.
