Science education = Evolution education = Humanity is one
Science education = Evolution education = Humanity is one family, and earth is our mother I aspire to contribute to the founding of a local group in my community that would be secularlly rooted, and committed to voluntary simplicity. The members of such a support group would commit to this way of life out of interest in a) salvaging the environment, b) salvaging our species (via wealth/power redistribution), and c) salvaging our everyday sanity such that we can show up for/love/support each other more fully. Part a) above is most salient for this board. I received an MS in Biology (human evolutionary genetics) in 2004. I also taught high school biology for three years. And I am currently an aspiring science education curriculum designer (i.e. I'm a doctoral student in science education). In this sense, I am committed to sharing my love and knowledge of our species' shared heritage in environmentally-sustainable practices (95% of our existence was spent in such a lifestyle; hunter-gathering) with both my peers, and young people/future generations.
